RegularYour OpportunityThe Financial Planning Group is part of the broader Investor Services organization and is primarily responsible for helping individuals and families with their financial needs.
Whether it's retirement planning, charitable giving, estate planning, active investing or managing banking and lending needs, Investor Services can help The Financial Planning Group works with branch partners and Schwab Private Client Investment Advisors to provide comprehensive financial planning services for clients and prospects seeking advice on how to reach multiple goals.
The financial plan includes a customized analysis to address client or prospective client goals, such as:
retirement, college, risk management, asset allocation, and estate planning needs.
After setting realistic expectations with the client or prospect, the Schwab Financial Planner prepares and presents a financial plan which will identify a client's current situation, opportunities and gaps, and advise on specific steps to meet financial goals.
The Associate Financial Planner is responsible for helping management and financial planners in all phases of the planning cycle.
The Associate will interact directly with clients to facilitate the planning process, provide operational support for referrals and working cases, and act as the front line resource to clients and colleagues.
This position will work closely with Financial Planners and internal partners through all phases of their work.
What you haveBachelor's degree requiredActive and valid FINRA Series 7 license requiredActive and valid FINRA Series 66 required (may be obtained within 90 days of employment)Series 9/10 preferredCFP designation preferredDesire to communicate knowledge in the area of financial planning In-depth understanding of financial planning process Familiarity with electronic tools (e.
