, Matchbook Learning, a non-profit charter management organization, recently moved our team to Indianapolis, Indiana, to launch a single PreK-8 Innovation Charter School in partnership with the Mayor's Office and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS).
We have restarted IPS school 63 and are off to a great start! Our innovative, award-winning blended turnaround school model, the first of its kind in the nation to be offered to schools with the highest poverty rates and needs, has already achieved extraordinary results.
Now, we are excited to develop a scalable model for inner-city public education in Indianapolis.
Who are we looking for?As a Matchbook Learning restorative teacher, you will be a teacher, an advisor, and a mentor.
Matchbook teachers provide targeted small-group instruction, lead whole group discussions, coach students as they work with individualized online learning tools, and collaborate with peers to ensure high levels of student achievement.
We believe that ordinary teachers can achieve extraordinary results when their development is personalized and empowered with the aid of technology.
Responsibilities:
Communicates clear vision for and models daily a culture of high expectations in action.
Maintains and updates behavior systems that support academic achievement and social/emotional growth of students.
Regularly collects cultural data through school walk-throughs and online tools and disseminates reports to track progress and student growth.
Analyzes attendance behavior and participation data with school leadership to identify and address challenges.
Trains and supports staff in classroom management and in building positive relationships with students and parents.
Implements Restorative Practices & conducts restorative circles.
Provide behavior support for off-ground activities including home visits.
When needed make disciplinary phone calls to parents and work with parents/guardians to develop individualized plans.

Tireless commitment to all students' academic success and personal development.
Holds oneself accountable for results and exemplifies highest ethical standards.
Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity as well as learning new tools and applications.
Strategic thinker problem-solver and excellent judgement in decision-making.
Able to analyze data to increase student and staff achievement.
Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Works effectively independently with minimal oversight as well as part of a team.
